Tim has 32 years of experience in the medical industry. His career started at the St. Joseph Regional Medical Center in June of 1989 where he became the orderly in surgery, quickly moved through many other positions. While he continued his career with St. Joseph Regional Medical Center, he took a second job at Holy Cross Living Center. Tim quickly built a personal brand that led to numerous awards and then to positions at Stryker, and later at Smith & Nephew Orthopedics. In these roles, Tim forged close partnerships with physicians. He then became a consultant in specialty retail pharmacy, through which he helped multiple companies in a distribution model set up national distribution and market penetration. Through these experiences, and being diagnosed with diabetes himself, Tim recognized a need for better diabetes care in the health care industry. Tim believes that USDC will be a paradigm shift in the way medicine will be provided to diabetics.
Tim has been involved with multiple Start Ups in Orthopedics, Pharmacy, distribution models, and Physician owned models, which have since been acquired.

Helen Tate

Helen Tate is a business professional with over 30 years’ experience in the healthcare industry. She specializes and is experienced in Operations, Management, Quality and Business Development. Helen was instrumental in building a large healthcare multi-specialty group holding positions in multiple disciplines including Director of Operations, Director of Contract Management & Quality. She has worked with every aspect of the healthcare practice including practice development and expansion, provider recruitment, project and program set-up and management, provider relations while functioning as a member of the executive team.

Helen held a position with a large payer to gain experience on that side of the healthcare arena as Director of Network Operations for the State of Tennessee. She led this team in building the network of providers, repairing and maintaining relationships with existing providers across the state. She was tasked with the responsibility of working directly with the State of Tennessee on all state led programs.

Taking over as Director of Practice Management 3 years ago at U.S. Diabetes Care, U.S. Primary Care and U.S. Diabetes Care & Surgical Specialty she took ownership of the position, working closely with, as well as, valuing her team and the contributions they all make every day. Being a new practice it has grown and undergone multiple changes including adding primary care, internal medicine and other specialties/ancillary services.
In January Helen took a position with the parent company in the role of Business Development for the center and marketing our new programs. She is very excited about being able to offer access to excellent diabetes care. She also accepted the role of Director of Operations for our Morristown Center.

Helen holds a Bachelors Degree in Management from Tusculum University along with other certifications. She is a lifelong native of the East Tennessee area. Through her endeavors and experience she has developed and nurtured deep ties in the medical community as well as across the state.

With 14 years of experience in the dental field, consistently leading the team in capital equipment sales and earning numerous sales distinction awards, Ted has established a remarkable track record. Additionally, Ted served as Vice President for a startup Dental and Medical Malpractice company, playing a pivotal role in securing State Endorsement for their services and expanding coverage to two-thirds of the United States.
Transitioning into medical sales, Ted owned a distributorship and led territories for various orthopedic and wound care products from companies such as Tissue Tech, Orthopediatrics, Osteomed, and Misonix. It was during this 12-year period in medical sales that Ted met Tim Keller, which eventually led to joining U.S. Diabetes Care as Director of Operations for the parent company.
Sharing a passion with Tim to improve the lives of those with diabetes, Ted works closely with Tim and Helen in managing day-to-day operations for the Center in Morristown, TN, as well as the parent company for U.S. Diabetes Care. Ted has a deep commitment for supporting individuals with diabetes and their families. He wholeheartedly believes in the mission of U.S. Diabetes Care, striving to transform the lives of the diabetic community by treating every individual with the same care and respect as we would our own family.
